Never Forgotten Night Run
Thursday, December 5th, 2024
Irish Hospice Foundation along with our event sponsor Londis invite you to take on the Never Forgotten Night Run on Thursday 5th December. #TeamIHF will unite across various locations in Ireland at 5pm on 5th December to run, jog, or walk 5km. This special event is held in memory of the loved ones we’ve lost and in support of those who are bereaved.
The funds raised will directly support our vital services, including Nurses for Night Care and the Bereavement Support Line. We are working towards a vision of an Ireland where people experiencing dying, death and bereavement, and those who care for them, receive the care and support they need.
By registering and paying the €25 registration fee, you will receive an exclusive Never Forgotten Night Run Beanie Hat. Upon signing up, a personal iDonate fundraising page will be automatically created, reflecting your €25 fee. You can use this page to raise additional funds and support our vital services.

About Irish Hospice Foundation
Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF) is the national charity that addresses dying, death and bereavement in Ireland. We are working to ensure the best end-of-life and bereavement care, for all. From advocacy and education to our vital services like Nurses for Night Care and our Bereavement Support Line, we believe in the importance of dying well and grieving well wherever the place.
Nurses for Night Care
Our Nurses for Night Care service provides care to people in their own homes at end of life in every county in Ireland. Nurses work through the night to support people to spend their final days at home in their own bed, with their families at their side. Nurses for Night Care brings hospice care and principles to adults, children and families where and when they are needed. We provide this service in partnership with the Irish Cancer Society.
Bereavement Support Line
No one has to grieve alone. Our Bereavement Support Line, in partnership with the HSE, is there to provide connection, comfort and support. It is a confidential space for people to speak about their experience or to ask questions relating to the death of someone they cared about. Our volunteers do their best to provide comfort and emotional support. They will provide any information that might help the caller, including information on practical supports. It is a national freephone service 1800 80 70 77 available from 10am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.
